Panchu Maama is a short story written by La.Sa.Ra.Saptharishi, who is the son of La. Sa. Ramamritham. Here in this story, Kannan's uncle, Mr.Panchapakesan also known as Panchu Maama was an officer in a bank. He was a very talkative man and though he was elderly, he mingled easily with children and kept them entertained in many ways. He played gully cricket with the children and sometimes he showed them films in a dark room, by using a white dhoti as a screen. Kannan during his childhood days had a great craze and hero-worshipped Panchu Maama. And the most interesting part was that he imagined that when he grew older he longed to do and say things that would be appreciated by his uncle. Listen and share it with all.

In this story, the title ' Ahuti ' means sacrifice and this story is the recorded telepathy. Little and a few small incidents that happened in the day-to-day life of people and the reactions to these incidents are given focus and set in the minds of the people and are highlighted often with the use of ancient Tamil words which are not in much use in modern times. Thus the author has beautifully created a great passion and a liking for the story in the minds of readers to relive the old days. Please listen and share with all of your friends. This is very interesting story of a large joint family which gives lesson about how should we understand every member in family and manage staying together in large family. Maamiyar has a perfect role to play with the dual powers of perfect domination and that of adjustment and greater understanding to all her family members but more precisely for all her daughter- in-laws in the family. Listen to the full story and then share it to all. |
